Osceola county is named after Native American Indian leader Osceola (Asi Yaholo), who's name means "Black Drink Cry", according to Wikipedia. It holds about 244,000 residents (2006 census) in a 1500 square mile area. It contains the unincorporated municipality of Celebration, created by the Walt Disney Company. As a charter county and contains five electoral districts. The county seat of Kissimmee lies 18 miles south of Orlando.
