If you are looking for an outdoor
security camera that protects image color and tone reproduction
and sees through the dark like it's daylight, then you want a
camera with the Sony™ Effio™ video processor on the
inside.
Advanced Image Processing with EFFIO Video
Processor
The Effio video processor comes from
Sony, home of premium quality consumer video.
NOTE: We are not affiliated with Sony
Corporation. This CCTV camera is not a Sony brand product.
The Effio video processor sits at
the analog front end (AFE) of the video image capture
process (see simplified diagram at left). Here it intercepts
signals prior to digital signal processing. This provides
the DSP circuitry with clean and efficient signals that make
its job easier, freeing up space for further enhancements to
be added to the available real estate on the chipset at
micro-component level. These enhancements create higher
resolution and provide more options in the OSD.
When the camera picks up an image, electric signals
originate in the video sensor and pass immediately to an
analog-to-digital convertor (ADC) and other front-end signal
processing circuitry. This is where the Effio video
processor works, in the analog front-end (AFE). It
intercepts and enhances raw video data and then passes it to
the digital signal processor (DSP), where digitization and
more enhancement and amplification occurs.
Many manufacturers are advertising Effio technology in their
cameras. It is worth noting that Effio video processing
depends on support circuitry and is not a standalone
product. Our products maintain original Effio quality by
using matched components. Beware of similar products
that may be advertised at far lower prices because they will
likely contain off-the-shelf (unmatched) components.
Multilingual On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu
Out of necessity advanced camera designs such as this
present a lot of options to the user.
The multilingual OSD menu is the starting point for camera configuration. By
using it you can reach all the features that tailor camera
performance to your specific surveillance environment. The
PrePro (Pre-Programmed) feature makes this step
significantly faster.
Our engineers have already
programmed default settings for optimum
performance. This "pre-programming" by professional
technicians often means the camera is good-to-go 99% of the
time straight from the box. Sometimes only minimum
configuration changes may be required to get a perfect
picture. Reduced setup time and high quality imaging make
this camera attractive for many large-scale
installations.
